Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful first Christmas we had with our sweet baby girl. She was an absolute angel. SA did great considering she had her shots on Tuesday, got pink eye and an ear infection on Wednesday and we left for Macon Wed. night and returned from Enterprise on Sunday! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week! Hope you all enjoy and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I love my hands and I constantly have them in my mouth!

Happy 3 Months!

I can't believe our baby girl is 3 months old today! I felt like the first 2 months were forever long but now that I am back at work....WOW how the time is flying. She is getting so much fun these days and smiling all the time. She is super happy in the morning and I just love it! We have moved her from our room to her crib and the transition is going well. I know I am sleeping much better!!! Today Sarah Atchley rolled over for the first time and PJ and I both got to see it! That is awesome since we are both working. Here are a few pictures of our sweet baby!

Little Miss Sarah Atchley

Our sweet baby girl made her debut into the world on Sept. 9. She was 7lbs. 12 ounces and 20 inches long. She is a true pleasure and hardly ever gets upset...unless you are changing her diaper. We are learning to adapt with a new one in our home but enjoying each minute of it. Here are a few pictures for those of you who have not met her yet. Will post more later from our first fews weeks at home.
Waiting to see if it's a boy or a girl!

10 Years!!!

A few weeks we celebrated my 10 year high school reunion! It was so much fun seeing all of my old girlfriends and I realized how much I truly miss each one of them. You know these girls are special when you haven't seen them in a long time and you feel as if there hasn't been a day that has gone by without talking to each other! I wish we could do this every year...life just gets in the way!

A big group picture before the night ends!

What's going on?

It's been a while since I have blogged! Been super busy with work and going somewhere almost every weekend. I will catch you all up quickly on what has been going on.

We celebrated my Mom's 60th birthday Mother's Day weekend in Tallahassee. It was a really fun and exhausting weekend. We also celebrated my brother Will's birthday, my niece Ansley's birthday and Mother's Day that weekend! The birthday party for my mom was a surprise. She had no idea that the entire family would be in Tallahassee that weekend. She thought she was going to visit to celebrate Ansley's birthday and Mother's Day! We totally surprised her!

Happy 2009!!!

Well, I am a little late but you know me...always behind! I am so excited about 2009...it has to be better than 2008! 2008 was a long and not so fun year for the Henthorne family. At the beginning of this year I wrote a letter to God telling him all about my plans and all of the fun things I had coming up. I am going to share with you my letter to him and his response to me! Enjoy!

Dear God,

I am so excited about this new year. You put me through some tough times this past year but I leaned on you and you pulled me through! I have joined the gym and plan to lose 30 pounds! I have been going regularly...you would be so proud. I want to look good for my 10 year high school reunion in June. Also, my sister-in-law is getting married Sept. 26 and I am a bridesmaid. Oh what fun this year is going to be!! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful blessings and remember even when it seems as though I am not listening...I am!

Love, Julie

Dear Julie,

I am really glad that you are looking forward to this year. You know I would never allow anything to happen to you that you cannot handle. I am proud of you for your faith and trust in me this past year. Now, to all of the wonderful plans you have for yourself. I have something different in mind! Instead of losing 30 pounds you are going to gain 30 pounds! Also, your sister-in-laws wedding...sorry you are not going to be able to be a part of that day. You see I am going to give you the greatest gift this year....A BABY!!!! I am entrusting this child to you to raise in a wonderful and christian home. I know you will do a great job and I am here for you! Good luck!

I love you, God

Well, what a funny sense of humor our Lord has! Just when we think we have all of these plans for ourselves he reminds us that he is in control! Our due date is Sept. 22 and we are super excited! Not sure if I have completely wrapped my head around all of this yet but I know I have plenty of time to get there! Keep us in your prayers! We love you! Julie and PJ

Well....I have been tagged!

Thanks to my sweet friend Molly (who could obviously tell I had been slacking on my blog) I have been tagged. I am to tell you 10 honest things about myself that you may or may not know. Here goes nothing:

1. I grew up an Alabama Fan! Both of my parents graduated from Alabama. Well, 3 out of the 4 children ended up going to Auburn. (I think my dad has taken us out of the will)I was convinced that I would remain an Alabama fan even through college but one week in Auburn and I was a die hard Auburn Fan! War Eagle!!

2. I love to sing and do so all the time. I took voice lessons for 6 years while I was in junior high and high school. My mom says "Julie, it is such a shame that you are not using your God given talent in some shape or form". I feel that I will use it more once I have children and can sing them to sleep at night!

3. I am extremely compassionate about my job and the children that I work with. Working with children with Autism is challenging and exhausting but never dull. I adore those kids and feel as though that is my God given talent....more than singing!

4. I will stay in my pajamas all day if I have nowhere to go! I love being an absolute bum!! I plop myself on the couch and turn on HGTV and I am in heaven. PJ asked me the other day if I could pick one channel to watch forever and I responded with HGTV!!

5. I am a huge sports fan. I grew up with 3 older brothers and so I have not known anything other than sports!! My top three favorite sports would be 1) Basketball 2)Football 3) Nascar (I love nascar!!)

6. I can't wait to be a mother! I hope to have 3 kids...2 boys and 1 girl. I hope they have PJ's good eyes, good teeth, and good skin. If they have my teeth, eyes, and skin we are in for some serious trouble!

7. I have an amazing relationship with Christ. It is a relationship that is developing everyday. I am excited about all the things he has in store for me good or bad!

8. I look up to my mother so much! I spent my entire childhood trying not to be just like her and I find myself being just like her everyday! I think she is incredibly strong, gracious, and a loving mother and I think I will be just fine to turn out JUST LIKE HER. She has been through so much with her health and still has a positive outlook on life! I love you Mom!

9. I make to do list all the time. I love them! There is something so therapeutic about marking off something on your list...sometimes I will even put on my list "get dressed" just so I can mark it off!

10. I am an extremely picky eater. I have gotten better but I am still very funny about what I eat. Wish that I wasn't this way....my life would be so much easier.

I have been blessed beyond belief this year! We have had some hard struggles but we have had some wonderful times as well. Hope that you enjoyed learning a little about me!
